Texas Rural Leadership Program
The San Antonio River Authority, Texans in Leadership and your local Extension office are combining in a joint venture to offer your community the opportunity to participate in the Texas Rural Leadership Program (TRLP). Because leaders are so invaluable to communities, the Texas Rural Leadership Program was created with the goal of developing and supporting community leaders in an effort to promote community revitalization and economic development. TRLP provides Texans with the tools and skills necessary to be successful leaders.
Regardless if your interests are in social groups, government, business, educational institutions or faith-based organizations, leaders are a key factor in the success of Texas communities. Leaders make things happen, they take the initiative, get people involved and are accountable for their actions. Leaders help a group create its vision and see it through to fruition. Leaders are vital to the future of Texas communities. The TRLP is your opportunity to learn the principles of becoming an effective and respective leader in your community.
If you are interested in this program, or for further questions feel free to contact Karen Opiela, Community Development Specialist with the San Antonio River Authority at 210-302-3280 or by email.
